Brioche French Toast – Easy as 1,2,3
Whenever I make this French toast, it reminds me of Christmas morning, no matter the time of year. The warm cinnamon and savory vanilla…that rich egg mixture that binds it all together. It’s quick and easy but will make everyone in your family happy.
Servings: 4 people
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 loaf brioche sliced thick
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar optional
- maple syrup optional
Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla in a shallow bowl.
One at a time, place the Place slices of bread in one at a time into your egg mixture. Flip the slice and flip so that both sides are well coated. Allow excess mixture to run off.
Melt butter in a large skillet or griddle and cook on medium heat until browned. Serve immediately or within 30 minutes recommended. However, you can cook and freeze if chosen if you need to.
Optional step #4: Dust with powdered sugar, fresh fruit and add syrup if desired.
